Dr Grahame Deane Scholarship
The Dr Grahame Deane Scholarship 2017
Upon the departure of Dr Grahame Deane from Gunnedah, Gunnedah Rural Health Ltd and the Community of Gunnedah have activated the Dr Grahame Deane Scholarship in recognition of his contribution to both the local medical services and the medical profession in general.
Donations: If you wish to make a donation to the Dr Grahame Deane Scholarship, please contact the Centre 6742 1222 and speak to Kate Perrett.
The Scholarship will be awarded to a student from the Shire of Gunnedah (including Boggabri, Premier, Tambar Springs, and Spring Ridge). It is hopefully a means of addressing and encouraging the very real problem of retaining health professionals in rural areas.
To be eligible for the Scholarship:
The student must be an Australian citizen and live in the Gunnedah Shire area (including Premier, Boggabri, Tambar Spring and Spring Ridge)
The student must be entering at least second year of either a Medical, Allied Health or Nursing degree in any University in Australia.
The successful candidate will spend 2 weeks during the year in a Health Professional practice within the Gunnedah Shire. This will be arranged by the recipient.
The scholarship fund will assist with University expenses.
Applications close on 3 February 2017. Click here to download application form or email email@example.com
