Skin Check Available

Getting your skin checked regularly by a Doctor is vital for all residents of Australia. With such a high percentage of Australians being diagnosed with Skin cancer each year, getting a routine skin check could save your life. If you notice anything unusual like a growing number of freckles or moles, moles or sunspots that are new or changing shape or size and any lesions or unusual skin changes, you should be checked by a qualified Doctor.

Gunnedah Rural Health Centre has sophisticated equipment, dermalights and clinical procedure rooms. Qualified GPs can excise or perform cryotherapy on the moles, lesions, or areas of skin that may have a growth or change.

If Skin cancers aren't frozen or removed they can grow and spread (metastasise) throughout the body. It is important to get checked by your Doctor regularly to ensure your skin health.
