Our Vision

The Rural Health Centre would be built on the grounds of the Gunnedah District Hospital. It will be a well designed, comfortable building that includes 12 fully equipped consulting rooms for GPs, excellent facilities for medical registrars, medical students, allied health trainees and allied health students and state of the art facilities for its support staff.

It would be a close neighbour of the Community Health Centre, and within easy walking distance of the acute care section of the hospital. Medical and Allied Health workers from within the private sector would be able to provide regular services from the centre and medical specialists from Tamworth, Armidale adn Sydney would be able to provide consulting services from the centre. A fully credited service, it would be on the town bus route and would have plenty of parking, including for disabled and frail people, and would be built so that these clients can access all parts of the complex.
