FUNDRAISING

Gunnedah Rural Health CentreSince the overwhelming response to the public forums addressing the shortage of rural doctors and allied health professionals, the people of Gunnedah and district have given unwavering support to the concept of what promises to be an innovative and groundbreaking approach to rural health care.

The community has responded by embarking upon many different fundraising initiatives - soup and damper days, lamington drives, charity golf days, sausage sizzles - just to name a few. There are more activities in the pipeline with many different community groups stepping forward to add their support to our fundraising arm, H4G.

There has also been support from many local businesses who have donated in-kind contributions to aid the project. Things such as logo design, printing, design work and signwriting, have been done free or at below cost value. This has helped us keep our costs to a minimum, thereby leaving the funds raised for the project itself where it is needed most.
